Commenting on my quest about learning to do ethnographic research Andrea Handl pointed to Virtual ethnography book by Christine Hine.
I did a bit of browsing and came across Virtual methods seminar (which is not active now, but good resource anyway). Between other things it has thematic guide that points to paper abstracts and presentations on:
- Analysing web sites and web use
- Combining methods
- Combining online and offline research approaches
- Ethics of online research
- Ethnography
- Interviews
- Maps of the Internet
- Psychology of Internet use
- Questionnaires
- Research in sensitive areas
- Reviews/reflections
