First thanks to all invitations that followed my questions about people to meet and places to visit during my trip in US. The bad news is that I had to make choices to fit my time and budget. The good news is that I’ve got 2 years US visa, so it should be much easier to plan another trip (hope to do it!)
So, now the planning looks like:
- 3-6 January – Big Island, Hawaii – HICSS-2005 – presenting paper on weblog conversations at persistent conversations track
- 7-14 January – offline time at Big Island. I’m officialy on vacation when, but if I find any bloggers there I’d be happy to meet to share food or offline fun.
- 15 January – a day in Honolulu
- 17 January – a stopover in Minneapolis – anyone there to share breakfast or lunch?
- 18-23 January – Chicago and around
- 21 or 22 January – BlogWalkChicago
The last part is still has to be planned. What I hope to do:
- meet local Chicago bloggers – Jack Vinson, Jim McGee, others?
- organise a BlogWalk (
most likelyBlogWalkChicago) - get to Indianapolis to meet Denham Grey (others?)
- get to Bloomington to meet researchers from BROG (blog research on genre) group
If you happen to be on my way and want to meet or have any suggestions on what to do “around Chicago” please email or Skype me.
