Blogging communities: shared norms, practices and rituals

by Lilia Efimova on July 22, 2004

Several times when I was talking about weblog communities someone asked if shared norms, practices and rituals develop in a ecosystem of weblogs as they do in other cases (e.g. forum-suppored communities). I would say “yes” (of course it’s “yes, but…” :).

Btw, I’m thinking of doing a bit more serious research on weblog communities, so let me know if you feel like collaborating, have specific questions to be answered or want to suggest clusters of weblog that should be interesting for zooming in.
