This is where I want to be on 18 May: WWW2004 Workshop on the Weblogging Ecosystem: Aggregation, Analysis and Dynamics.
And the papers are:
- How can we measure the influence of the blogosphere? by Kathy Gill
- Automatic Collection and Monitoring of Japanese Weblogs by Tomoyuki Nanno
- Implicit Structure and the Dynamic of Blogspace by Eytan Adar
- BlogPulse: Automated Trend Discovery for Weblogs by Natalie Glance
- Personal Knowledge Publishing Suite with Weblog by Ikki Ohmukai & Hideaki Takeda
- Mapping the Blogospere in America by Alex Halavais
- Blogs as “Protected Space” by Michelle Gumbrecht
The research on weblogs is accelerating: I’m not able to read all the papers anymore. I guess in a few months I even will not be able to keep track of all new publications. Don’t know should I be happy or sad :)
If you want to keep up with my hunting for weblog research items, make sure you check these:
- weblog with weblog research references + RSS for those references that I have time to document (usually most of fresh findings go there)
- blogResearch del.icio.us link collection + RSS for links that I consider somehow related to weblog research
