Richard asks why people would write to the Web, and then comes to a motivation to write k-logs within a company:

I believe this is the main question to be answered if we want to use weblogs as a knowledge management tool.
Writing to a weblog has to become a part of everyday work. For example, for:
- capturing ideas before the fly away (and as a reminder)
- organising ideas
- keeping track of reading
