Emulation vs. integration

From beer-talk during the workshop yesterday (hope that was not confidential :)

Problem:

• two different system with overlapping functionaly
• difficult to get people to use one of them (habit, useful features lost)
• difficult to integrate

Solution

• shell around one system with interface emulating another, so user have same experience AND access to the data of other system
• XML behind
